About Kim

Yoga gives me the gift of a full, bright, centered life filled with love.  I would like to share that with you.

My journey started with the body - yoga poses, anatomy, alignment. I ate it up!  It was so wonderfully tangible, something a beginner could really sink their teeth into.  As I simmered in the teachings my attention spread to other facets of yoga: the spiritual and intuitive practice of asana, pranayama, meditation, and Yoga Nidra. My practice and teaching evolved.  I shifted from teaching static, aligned poses to teaching what I call MindFlow - mindful, flowing asana that follows the rhythm of the breath. I found the journey from one pose to the next is just as important as the final expression; and while alignment options are still given, I also invite you to become more intuitive with your practice, exploring and honouring your inner guru which intern deepens your conscious awareness of your body/mind.  This practice asks you to be fully present through each and every moment.  It is truly a moving meditation.

Since 2010 I have been studying with Richard Miller, PhD (renowned clinical psychologist, author, researcher, yogic scholar and spiritual teacher) who has introduced me to the non-dual teachings of iRest Yoga Nidra as well as a plethora of other yogic teachings. My practice and understanding of the art of yoga has deepened immensely. The practice of iRest has brought me so many profound understandings about myself and the world around me. It has helped me heal my wounds, have a much larger capacity to be with any stressful situation, and most importantly it has helped me to develop an intimate relationship with True Nature/Pure Awareness/True Self etc. - the ever present, spacious, peaceful, wisdom that we all are. iRest Yoga Nidra is the foundational practice of my life and of all of my teaching. It helps me understand myself, others and life more fully. Many of my students have also experienced profound healing and deep understanding through this practice. I am busting at the seams to share it with you!

I have studied and practiced yoga for the past 21 years and continue to do so every day.  With over a 1000 hrs of formal training and over 5000 hours of teaching. I am still a beginner : ) but I offer you all that I have learnt to support you on your journey. As your teacher my purpose is to broaden your ability to be aware. With vast, open awareness anything is possible.  You hold the power to get there, I can point you in the right direction.
